It was a great meal and they were all in good spirits (43:34). Despite the uncanny nature of the seating arrangements and the favoured portion, they enjoyed the evening. As Joseph tested his brothers he was displaying the qualities of a wise ruler who feared God and who was acting to promote righteousness, peace and unity among his people.
